Dr Raj Tanna

Dr Raj Tanna is a specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapeutic Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Dr Tanna has extensive experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of Mental Health illnesses including psychosis, depression, bipolar affective disorders, anxiety, OCD, stress related and post traumatic disorders, personality issues & Psychotherapeutic medicine in the General Adult and Young Adult population.
Most recently he served as Head of Services at Joondalup Community Mental Health Services, providing expertise and leadership to achieve quality patient centred services.
My approach is to collaborate and address issues together with an emphasis on strengths. I believe that everyone has the right to good mental health and to receive ethical, high quality and evidence informed care. This is a collective community endeavour; as a family member of people with mental illness, I deeply understand the complex needs for recovery”.

Clinical Psychologist & Sexologist

Polina is a Clinical Psychologist currently working at Cygnet Clinic Fremantle as well as for a non-for-profit organisation in the disability sector.
She has a Master of Sexology which has complimented and expanded her interest in working with individuals and couples who are experiencing sexual difficulties, dysfunction or discrepancies.
Her other areas of clinical interest include managing anxiety, depression, anger and stress as well as increasing self-esteem and self-compassion. She enjoys working with both adults and children and has had extensive experience in group therapies.
Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Supervisor

Lloyd Fernandez is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He has been practising for over 25 years. He provides counselling, psychotherapy, consultancy, and clinical supervision. He works with individuals, couples, groups and organisations (EAP). Lloyd works part-time at Cygnet Clinic in Fremantle on Saturdays.
He works with people across the lifespan for general counselling. He has a particular interest in working with parents in the early years, parent-child attachment, men's issues, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, and self-esteem.
Bernard is an experienced Psychologist, with a special interest in sleep disorders, anxiety and rumination. Bernard has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology examining psychological aspects of sleep. He is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar affective disorder and personality disorders. Bernard is Cygnet preferred practitioner for Criminal Injuries Compensation.
His assessment skills extends to the preparation of reports for a number of purposes, including (but not limited to) intellectual assessments, cogntive assessments, assessments of functioning, workers compensation & rehabilitation based reports. He is also trained in the use of EMDR for trauma.
Dr Claire Mitchell
BSc(Hons), MPsych(Clin), PhD (UWA)
Claire is a Clinical Psychologist who has experience across inpatient/outpatient hospital settings and the not-for profit community sector. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults.
She has a clinical interest in working with perinatal mental health/attachment-based parenting, grief/ loss, adjustment to transitions, trauma, gender- and sexuality-related Issues, anxiety, depression, and stress, and psychosis/other unusual perceptual experiences.
Claire is available Mondays at Cygnet Fremantle.

Mr Walace Duarte
Walace is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience working in mental health, in a variety of roles and environments, including; the drug and alcohol sector, community outreach, employment services, private practice and public health.
Walace has worked with diverse groups, including; children/adolescents, couples, carers, emergency first responders, defence personnel, perpetrators of DV and indigenous groups.
He is currently working in a community mental health team, treating chronic, acute and high risk psychiatric presentations.

Sarah Haythornthwaite has been working as a Clinical Psychologist for 20 years. Sarah enjoys working across the lifespan, with adults, young people, children and families.
Sarah is registered with the Psychologists’ Board of AHPRA, with endorsed area of practice Clinical Psychology, and she is also a Psychologists’ Board endorsed Clinical Supervisor. Sarah has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) throughout her career. Sarah draws on a number of evidence based theoretical perspectives to inform her therapeutic work. The strong foundation of her practice has been cognitive behavioural therapy, but she is also informed by perspectives such as developmental theories, interpersonal understandings, systemic and family therapy and narrative therapy.
